@gatosguzzz I think that'd be worth looking into, Id say that because perf mode is so distinct (a lot of people use it for the extremely minimal style) it would be a good compromise to have the separate foliage group be less dense as well, especially if normal rendering always has grass.

@CallmeNearly the main thing to optimize with the grass blades is the material, geometry shouldn't be a concern for performance. but yes it would be possible to have a unique foliage group for performance mode.

The landscape mat I'm working on in performance mode. I know having grass blades enabled might be divisive so I'll make clear how to disable it. Personally I think having grass blades does influence gameplay, so I'll have them enabled by default.

@kattylotl @TactFNC This looks gooood, everytime i’ve used lumen in OG i just can’t help but think its always way too yellow. Like you’ll go inside and the bounce lighting is JUST yellow no matter what. I’m usually a defender of lumen because I do think it’s pretty anywhere else, but OG rn? 😬

figured out how to enable lumen with the proper og lighting. lol. lmao even. epic gotta lock in, og could look both accurate and fulfill that weird need for lumen and nanite that epic seem to have if they had literally just one dev spend their day setting it up.

The Boys finale really hit for me, I think I have the unpopular opinion that the season itself was amazing, and I genuinely wouldn't have wanted the final episode to be any longer. I think everyone got exactly what they needed/deserved at the end.

@JustTeddii @GasSpares Respectfully there are better and less harmful alternatives to AI. Given the industries disgust towards it being used for jokes. I get its a fun tool to mess about with but it's very disrespectful towards artists to just hit enter on a prompt imo.

@JustTeddii @Loolo_WRLD the change I would like to see in builds is… Shockwave grenade (and Shockwave adjacent) cooldowns. It feels so incredibly balanced to only be able to use them once before needing to recharge them.

@FNCreate @BeastFNCreative most unanimously praised change just for it to turn out to be reverted… Most maps won’t ever get to 800mb’s so I don’t see why this change wouldn’t be fun for large scale experiences, especially if there’s a disclaimer before downloading?

Hey @BeastFNCreative we’re really sorry for the confusion here. This wasn’t a test, it was an error in the Creator Portal and has been reverted. A compact download size means games remain available to as many players as possible – wherever they play. Later this year, we will add the ability to stream large assets (like textures and meshes) to UEFN, increasing what you can fit within the existing headroom.

UEFN News! It seems Epic just randomly increased the max download size of UEFN Projects from 400MB to 800MB. Not sure if this is intentional, wait for official news from Epic!

@PlantsvsZombies Good start but I believe levelling should just be completely deleted from the game, in favour of more methodical spawning of zombies (with some having more unique gimmicks that require a little more critical thinking).

@JustTeddii Is it just tracers primary or are there other weapons too? Because mercy is using her staff to heal in the key-art im thinking maybe this isn't the only weapon/item..

Overwatch is such a beloved game and we wanted to be authentic to the source material, so we asked ourselves the question… “What if Fortnite had a fully *first* person weapon…” And here we are! Bored, what's the worst lighting in Fortnite history in y'alls opinion?

No one wants to do laundry, washing up or anything like that, which are the exact kind of things that would be "replaced". In reality the art and everything would still (likely) be human made.

I think people are getting the wrong message from this. From what I understand this would be Epic replacing monotonous tasks that literally no one wants to do. There's still going to be people behind the art direction of the game but they wont have to waste time on boring stuff.

Got something really cool cooking up for y'all next week. A true evolution of a gameplay formula I've been refining for over two years, and (IMO) the most fun thing I've ever built. Watch this space :)

@GamesCage_ Lighting and atmosphere needs to be top tier. Loved frontiers but I think the lighting and atmosphere could feel a little off and crispy at times, especially when looking at stuff from a lower angle.
