Last night was about more than defending and winning titles, that fight was for my sister, Lily-Rae Simpson, I felt her presence with me every step of the way, and I know she was watching over me 🕊️❤️ Steed Woodall was another step up, and I’ve got nothing but respect for him. I believe I was on the verge of delivering a highlight reel finish. However I understand that the referee had the best view and made the call based on what he saw in that moment to stop him from taking unnecessary punishment and I have to respect that. The support from Barnsley has been absolutely unreal. You lot never fail to show up and make your voices heard. I’m so proud to represent our town and to have such a strong community behind me, I’ll keep pushing to make you proud. Now, we’ve got bigger plans….. Tonight wasn’t my night, which I will learn from, but the support was unbelievable ❤️ The amount of messages and love I’ve received has been genuinely overwhelming. Thank you to everyone for sticking by me, from Barnsley to all across Yorkshire 🙌🏽 I’m incredibly proud to have brought another big night to Yorkshire and some unforgettable nights to our town, and I know there are still some massive nights ahead of us.
