Join the Town and Community Matters Committee meeting on Monday 12 January 2026 at 6:30 pm in Calne Town Hall. Important topics on the agenda include: Community Grant applications from Wiltshire Citizens Advice, Great Western Air Ambulance and Sustainable Calne.

Fewer than 10 requests were received for an election, so the Town Council will now fill the vacancy by co‑option. Residents who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply in writing, including a short personal statement, by Wednesday 14 January 2026 to calne@calne.gov.uk

Our Visitor and Information Centre at Bank House will close on Christmas Eve, 24 December at 2:30pm. Our doors will reopen at 9:30am on Friday 2 January. A limited phone service will be operating from 10am to 3pm on 29/30/31 December.

On Sunday 9 November Calne Remembers. We will gather from 9:15am in the Phelps Parade area. 9:35am March begins. The march moves through The Square, The Strand, Bank Row and on to Church Street. 10:10am Church Service. 11am 2 minutes silence followed by the wreath laying ceremony

Following the resignation of Councillor Jackie Beckett, a Notice of Election has been published. An election to fill the vacancy in the Calne Chilvester & Abberd Ward will take place if ten electors from the ward submit a written request to the Returning Officer by 22 October.
