Odd sock day! In nursery we have talked about kindness - using kind words, hands and feet and helping our friends if they are sad. We sorted the socks into pairs and found the odd socks. They also became sock puppets and played hide and seek!
We love forest school and today we have been searching for different coloured leaves 🍁 and talking about Autumn. We have also climbed trees and built a hedgehog house!
Our new nursery children have settled in brilliantly and our returners have been fantastic role models. We have been busy getting to know each other and learn all the routines. What a fantastic year we are going to have.
What a wonderful week we have had in nursery; our school trip to The Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Sports on the field with SHAPE, science experiments in class and of course watering the flowers in this hot weather.
It has been really wonderful watching our caterpillars turn into butterflies and watching the process as they transform. The children have loved watching them fly away this week!
Mummy owl arrived in our classroom with the story “Owl Babies” to share! We have made owl collage pictures, owl snacks and used puppets to re-tell the story.
Nursery have enjoyed learning about the Easter story and have been busy doing lots of Easter activities, including an Easter egg hunt, baking rice krispie nests and eating hot cross buns.
We had a wonderful morning welcoming our families in for a science session. We looked at magnets, wind power, rockets, minibeasts and much more. The children loved the volcano experiment so much we had to do it again!
