Travelers in both directions of Hwy. 154 will be moved on to a new traffic alignment on Friday, March 20, at approximately 3 pm. This traffic switch on Hwy. 154 will take place between San Antonio Creek Rd. and Painted Cave Rd. and travelers can anticipate 5-to-10-minute delays.

For the safety of the travelling public, Caltrans crews cleared an encampment site this week along US 101 near Lompoc, in Santa Barbara County, removing 20 cubic yards of debris. The six individuals impacted were offered assistance by our local social service partners.

Following a recent engineering and traffic survey, speed limits will change on 0.74-mile segment of Hwy. 17 between the Hwy. 1 interchange and the Pasatiempo Dr. interchange. Northbound limits move from 65 to 60 mph in this segment while southbound limits move from 55 to 60 mph.

Travelers will encounter a full overnight closure of Highway 41, from the Hwy. 41/46 interchange to Highway 33, from Thursday, March 19 at 8 pm to Friday, March 20 at 8 am, for crews to make final rockslide repairs. Detour via Hwy. 46 and Hwy. 33 to add half hour to travel time.
