@logorn_gadum There was lore that dropped like 8 or so years ago that Sentinels are hostile to humans on Delta Halo.
And since the new lore explains he willingly joined the Flood, it appears he's the cause of that. So the Gravemind left him behind to continue fighting humanity on Delta Halo.

The new lore explains he didn't get captured, he willingly joined the Flood.
