"Eggs are bad for your cholesterol." "Don't eat the yolk." "Too much saturated fat." A 40,000 person study just followed adults 65+ for over 15 years. People who ate 5+ eggs per week had a 27% lower risk of Alzheimer's. Even eating eggs 1-3 times a month was linked to a 17% lower risk. 2-4 times per week? 20%. The more consistently people ate eggs, the stronger the protection. But the most interesting part to me is, the study population was Seventh-day Adventists, who already eat significantly healthier than the average American. So these aren't people offsetting a junk diet with eggs. The baseline was already clean. In a healthy population, eggs still moved the needle positively. That makes the signal stronger, not weaker. Why eggs specifically? Eggs are loaded with choline, which your brain uses to produce acetylcholine. That's the compound responsible for memory and communication between brain cells. They also contain lutein, zeaxanthin, omega-3s, and phospholipids that support neurotransmitter function. But the key is, that's all in the yolk, the part people throw away! And the saturated fat everyone worries about? There's only 1.5 grams per egg. That's it. A tablespoon of olive oil has more. The US Dietary Guidelines removed the cholesterol cap in 2015 because the science didn't support it. Your body adjusts its own cholesterol production based on what you eat. Even the American Heart Association now supports a daily egg for healthy adults, and the FDA classifies eggs as a healthy food. While it's true that correlation doesn't equal causation, I've been eating 4 whole eggs a day for most of the past 30 years and I don't have Alzheimer's. So the science is settled! 😉 Eat your eggs. Eat the yolk. Your brain will thank you.

Today’s 1km run/sprint 👇 My so called smart watch doesn’t time properly, the treadmill is accurate 👍 5 minutes 14 seconds is a new PB for me. New zero drop, wide toe box shoes as well, no longer any knee issues after running, not great looking but are superb to run in!

Some training from this week, yes I still do a bit 🤣 Legs and upper session in one . Squatted a decent 110 kg 1RM with excellent form and hit some decent upper body calisthenics. Not doing too bad at 53, better than some, not as good as others, probably 🤣 Keep on keeping on!

@RightScopee Once in 2021 with Delta. Continued to exercise for the first week but struggled in the second week. Had a very high temperature for two days then it was gone. A few issues with dizziness for another couple of weeks. It took 6 months to get my taste back. No other issues 👍
