U.S. District Judge stops the Trump Administration from enforcing a transgender military ban, branding it “unabashedly demeaning.” Judge Ana Reyes has issued an injunction against the ban, which would have affected 4,200 troops who identify as transgender. “The ban at bottom invokes derogatory language to target a vulnerable group in violation of the Fifth Amendment.” The injunction prevents the administration from enforcing the ban until the lawsuit has been finalized.
