In conversations with Calvinists who will actually get down into the weeds, it seems the issue is they think those words mean completely different things. To be fair they won’t ever say it like that, but that’s been my impression. You can ask @grok to compare Thomas Aquinas and John Calvin and highlight the multitude of words that they completely disagree on the definition of, like love, and free will etc. The differences are very subtle, but have widespread theological effects.

I can even direct you to some more serious criticisms and books that I had to wade through when I was wrestling through this. Truth matters and I want you to find it.
