@CurtisGuthrie15 Have Ran our Steiger 500 on 800 singles for last 5 years. Pulled a 60ft flexicoil bar no problem for 2 years but have gone back to 40ft now to fully line up with CTF. Also pull a 6m Gessner deep ripper down to 450mm. Tyres are filled to 11 o’clock with water.

#askagtwitter For anyone running big singles for CTF on their 4WD Tractors, are IF Tyres best for traction? 800s wide enough? Will be pulling 40ft bar. Any input appreciated 👌

@S_M_Bowman Most would say not to go near it with a ripper but I’ve been tempted myself and I had another say they had good results ripping that type of country. Cheers

@CamJones73 2.5t at a time but multiple applications. Around 3 all up. Try to get a summer rain, wait for the top to dry out, spread then rip so the top fractures a bit. Next rain theoretically washes the gypsum in.

We never even used to crop this country. Salty and Iceplant city. Gypsum and deep rip. Barley on barley. Still lots of bits we can’t get back but overall worth doing.

This would be the pick of the jobs for seeding if anyone is looking.

First time for me spraying fungicide and spreading bait for mice. High rainfall problems in a low rainfall area.

Took the family to check the canola out. It’s amazing how good the 4022 on deep rip fallow is doing. 143.8mm GSR & 223.2mm for the year.
