Yesterday, ACORN brought our demand for a meeting to Cambridge City Council, and successfully secured a meeting with the leader of the council, Cameron Holloway, and council cabinet member Simon Smith, within the next 30 days! We demand an end to bailiff use in Cambridge.

We've been knocking on doors and organising with our members, and for our fire safety campaign. We've heard from the residents of one block that Encore Management has failed to remove dangerous cladding -like Grenfell Tower's- and is putting them at risk every day they don't.

Last week, Mayor Nik Johnson confirmed that bus franchising will go ahead in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. ACORN Cambridge campaigned hard for a year to galvanise the public in support of a bus network run in their interest instead of profits. And we succeeded big time!!
