Cromwell District Night Hike saw 80 Cubs tackle 4 bases (First Aid, Mini Pioneering, Code Breaking and Essential Fuel (refreshments!), thanks to 40 adults. A special mention to the team who took a slight detour to "go golfing" (!), and the helpers who went to 'rescue' them 🤣

2 Scout Patrols from 1st Hemingfords completed their 2-day hike as part of their Expedition Challenge this weekend, camping at Skreens Park in Essex. The smiley faces were before they set off - but we are sure they smiled with joy when they realised what they had achieved too!!!

Community service in action by @12thCambridge Woodsmoke Explorers yesterday. Having set their alarms early they ran the water station (and cheered the runners!) at the Cambridge Town & Gown 10k - a charity event for 1500 raising ££s for @MDUK_News. Well done all! @scouts

1st Cambridge Scout Troop got wired last night, but don't panic it was just for their Skills Challenge Award! Essential #SkillsForLife included learning to re-wire a plug (linking to the reuse element of #PromiseToThePlanet), iron their uniform and solve some tricky problems.

Congratulations to the team appointed, and we look forward to hearing about the exciting journey you and the young people will be embarking on as you #DreamWild as part of @UKContingent heading to Korea. Looking forward to the selection events for young people!

1st Somersham Beavers got messy, smelly and noisy with "experimental" fun tonight! They used a non-Newtonian fluid (!); acids and alkalis; and conductors and insulators. They also (just) managed to demonstrate that some metal burns! Hands on activities that make "learning" fun😀
