Yeah, man, I thought I wasn't seeing right hahaha. You think all your hard work is paying off, and then all of a sudden they change the whole system. It just doesn’t make sense to say you want high-quality maps to get more reach, while removing the very categories that helped them reach players outside their own category... Changes like this hit creators in our genre really hard. I hope Epic reconsiders removing the categories

I completely agree. The basic idea is good, but the implementation just doesn't make sense. My latest map, for example, got off to a great start over the last few days and gained a lot of players, especially thanks to the Trending in Variety category. And since the change this morning, I've been hovering between 80 and 100 players. As you already mentioned, categories like Top Rated and Trending were the best way to get more exposure for our genre. Now we have to hope that players scroll down 10 categories to get to the Horror tab. With the new system, you simply can’t attract new players...

A good direction overall. Cutting down spam maps and giving more visibility to high quality and original experiences is definitely needed. Not sure about removing key tabs like Top Rated though. We can only really speak from our experience in Horror, but it is one of the few tabs where genuinely well made maps can keep somewhat consistent CCU. If the goal is to highlight quality, it feels like we lost one of the few discovery tabs that already did that pretty well.

How exactly does removing performance-based rows like Top Rated or Most Engaging help "favor original islands and games that keep players engaged"? Those were THE tabs that highlighted games with the best player ratings or the highest playtime. If players didn’t like a game, it simply wouldn’t show up there because it wouldn’t meet the requirements. The same goes for "People Love," which featured maps with the highest Day 1 retention. Players aren’t coming back the next day if the experience isn’t good. These rows only featured maps with actual good metrics and ratings / feedback. I genuinely don't understand this decision.

@CamelStudiosFN @FNCreate Map was looking good. Very clear Resident Evil 9 inspo here. But I'm gonna let you know theres a huge game breaking bug in the part where you distract the zombi with the microwave. The player can do that before triggering the zombie hence softlocking him. I would look into that
