Matt Hardy speaks on the upcoming Dark Side of the Ring episode about Jeff Jarrett and TNA, he and Jeff Hardy did long form interviews for it: “In speaking with Jeff Jarrett, had a great conversation with him a couple months ago, and he told me they were talking about doing this. They’re doing a Dark Side of the Ring, which is kind of a redemption story, which is very cool. And we were sold on it. While we were out in Vegas, Jeff and I both did very long form interviews talking about everything from the very beginning. When we first met Jeff Jarrett, interacting with him, him and Owen [Hart] asking if they could put the tag team titles on us when we were wearing tights back in the day just for a few weeks to kind of build us and make us. Go into everything that Jeff Jarrett has been through, losing his friend Owen, losing his first wife, how his life has been. And even up to that with TNA, whenever we left, whenever we returned to WrestleMania 33, WWE, just the whole to-do. It felt great to be a part of something that did feel like a redemption story because not only did we talk about how Jeff Jarrett came out the other end in a much better place and how he has gained everyone's respect from what he has done. We talked about the condition of TNA right now, how it is in a good place and it is actually thriving on AMC.” (The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy)

Sami Zayn says the vibe around WrestleMania 42 was strange. “The vibe was just different this year for so many different reasons. Sometimes it comes down to just the hotel you stay in or the match you have — everything shifts your mood slightly. This year, my character at the time of WrestleMania is a bit more undefined than it’s been in many many years. Usually, I walk into Mania and I know exactly where I’m at and what I’m doing. This year, this character shift and this sea change has been going on at the same time with Trick rising and me getting these — I would say polarizing reactions but it’s kind of started to swing all the way in the other direction now to where I’m unliked and I’m kind of, as a character, saying like, ‘What did I even do here?’ It’s still in this week-to-week [thing], audience to audience is all different so it felt a little less like surefooted, you know what I mean? The vibe around WrestleMania was a little strange this year with the Pat McAfee thing being added at the last minute. I don’t know, there was just so many things that felt a little strange about this year’s WrestleMania. Ultimately, like you said I didn’t get to do Mania last year in Vegas. I missed out on it so I kind of felt like, ‘Oh, alright, here we go.’ When you’re actually in the ring and you’re actually in the city doing meet and greets and stuff like that, I really like it. It can be a tad overwhelming sometimes but again, what a privilege to have. If I go to WrestleMania 15 to 20 years from now and I’m not at the center of it, then you’re not overwhelmed by it. So, it’s actually kind of a gift in the midst of that madness.” (Witty Whittier)

“I’ve been lucky that WWE and my time in this business has been more than a blip, but I realize that this time will probably be coming to an end within the next, you know… I don’t want to put a number of years on it, but definitely closer to the end than the beginning. So I’m just very, very grateful to be a part of it still.” - Sami Zayn (Interview w/ Witty Whittier)

Ted Turner just passed away at the age of 87. He was among the most important people as far as the history of pro wrestling goes, and that was a very minor part of his world.

Warrior is the type of movie that young men like myself can look to/use/call on for inspiration. I’ve always felt that stories like this are more powerful than any self-help book or podcast. Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton & Nick Nolte give a trio of performances that are so beautiful.

The latest news on which WWE stars are taking significant pay cuts and why it's happening: "From what I understand, these people who have been asked to restructure their deals are people who are upper midcard-ish, maybe even higher than that. The ones I've heard, they've been around for a long time and they were making a lot of money. "We're not talking a guy like Roman Reigns or a guy like Seth Rollins. Those guys, the very tippy top main eventers, they're not gonna be asking those tippy top main eventers to restructure their deals. If you are low on the card, you're probably not making enough that they're gonna bother. "So the reason there's a specific window it appears of people that are being asked to restructure, is because these people signed pretty big money deals quite a while ago, and they've been making that money for quite a while, and now they're not where they were. "Their justification is, 'Things are very different now than when you signed this deal. Yes, we are asking you to take less money,' but their argument is, 'You are doing significantly less now. "'You're not doing four house shows a week, you're not on the road four days a week, paying for your transportation and your hotel and your this and your that. You're on the road one day a week, you're wrestling maybe twice a month, and we want to pay you less because you're doing less now.' That is their mindset. That's their perspective there. "I was told, the number I got was like a half-dozen people. And obviously we know two of them said, 'That ain't happening,' that's the New Day. "I've heard at least two names that did (agree), and my presumption is the other names probably did as well because if they didn't, they would be gone, we would know." I’m sad to hear of the passing of Ted Turner. Ted bought me to the US and payed me and allowed me to feed my family for 6 years. Ted also took care of mine and my families green cards. Rest well.
