We have a special episode on ‘The Sure Thing’ coming tonight — this movie has disappeared on cable and streaming, but there’s a high quality download of it on something that rhymes with Schmoostoob right now. (Shhhhhhh)
Movie Law: Drivers keep staring at their passengers for entire conversations, which tells me they’ve never seen any of the 500 movies where that has led to a semi-truck T-bone, a cliff plunge, or a deadly hit-and-run.
Incredible memoir by @CameronCrowe. It's a gold record, an academy award and a Pulitzer all rolled into one. Thank you for putting your heart into this story.
On the latest episode of "The Movie of Your Life" podcast, I talked to @CameronCrowe about his new book, "Uncool," his iconic filmography -- and the films that shaped his life and worldview. One of the favorite conversations of my career.

Insanely great book by @CameronCrowe - The Uncool.
Listen to it on Audible to hear him tell the stories first hand and / or get the book to see the pictures.
The life span (and thus musical tastes) of writer-director @CameronCrowe are congruent with my own, so I expected a nice read. Turns out his path from teenage music journo to broad chronicler of culture makes this one of my favorite memoirs of recent memory.
@CameronCrowe I just finished your memoir and loved it! You have lived such an interesting life. I remember when Fast Times came out. I was a freshman at SDSU, and I thought Sean Penn stole the movie. It all rang true. I also loved Almost Famous. I've seen it many times.
The two books I ordered this week just arrived: “Future Boy” by Michael J. Fox (@realmikefox) and “The Uncool” by Cameron Crowe (@CameronCrowe).
For someone who was basically raised by movies, picking “favorite films” is almost impossible. But whenever I’m asked, the answer is always the same: “Almost Famous” and “Back to the Future” (My son’s name is Marty, for God’s sake).
Diving into the worlds of two of my lifelong heroes feels like medicine for the soul and fuel for everything that depends on it.
Tom has always approached his work with a fearlessness that's rare & contagious. Receiving the honorary Oscar felt like what many have known for years: TC is the very soul of passion in cinema. Congrats, my friend. Let the celebration continue from story to story & film to film.
Rolling Stone alumnus @CameronCrowe swung by our NYC office for a visit and played a round of "On That/Off That" ⬇️

.@CameronCrowe I said I wouldn’t look at your note until I hit a block, but I couldn’t help myself. Sat in the parking lot and cried my eyes out. Immensely grateful for your advice. 🙏🏽🙌🏽
