Hi all. Since I gave this feature an official name, I thought I would make a new Google Form for it. I have all of the other suggestions saved so don't worry about that. Please if you have a suggestion for an anime, submit it here. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

@thaliarchus Not sure how I feel about the lens flare, but I love the design on the red plane.

@thaliarchus Is that real or anime? Also I feel like this is a question that could be asked more nowadays.

@AbroadInJapan So there are a number of her videos that I enjoy. And there are a number of your videos I enjoy. I will probably keep enjoying both without forming an opinion on the drama.

And like clockwork folks, there it is! A faster response time than most fighter jet squadrons in a war zone. Locked and loaded and ready to exploit. For someone I’ve never met and whose name I know only as “Oriental”, she sure claims to know a lot about me 😅 It turns out I’m a tyrant. A monster. An envious old fool who lives only to bask in her magnificent glory. - Apparently. As opposed to someone fed up of being sent her toxic YouTube videos and Instagram reels from viewers, wondering what I think about the so-called downfall of Japan. Only to then tune in and find a girl trawling around the backstreets of Shinjuku like a hungry raccoon, looking for graffiti, intrigue and trash cans to exploit. If you enjoy Oriental Pearl, allow me to recommend a few of her videos. If not: “What is Happening to Japan” then certainly: “White Girl Speaks Japanese. Japanese people shock, surprise, amazement!” There’s also, “White girl speaks Japanese, you won’t believe what the locals did next!!” And my personal favourite: “Japanese React to White Girl Speaking Japanese! Sugoi! Incredible.” I should add for clarity, impressively these are genuine, actual videos on her channel. Not me being sarcastic for once. Quality content for the ages indeed👌

@thaliarchus Is an elixir a drink. Side note: I'm still shocked that Mt. Dew was made to be a mixer for whiskey.

Even with the rise of the internet, every major anime pirate site has offered a dub option because it drives significant traffic. Most people prefer watching anime in their native language. This really shouldn’t surprise anyone.

So we’re all on the same page, a majority of western anime enjoyers have *always* preferred dubs In the early days, Astro boy, star blazers, speed racer, robotech etc. were all dubbed In the 80s Central Park and other VHS licensors invested heavily in dubs b/c there was more interest When my generation was coming up, most people watched pokemon, DBZ, Naruto, Sailor moon etc. on TV
ScreenTime@screentime

Netflix says 50% of all their worldwide users now watch anime ▪️ 150M households ▪️ Anime viewership has tripled in 5 years ▪️ 80-90% watch dubbed

I hope everyone knows that when you ask for more anime to be set in college you’re gonna get more grounded stories about mundane stuff like failing relationships or 20 year olds making bad decisions and not the same chuuni shit you already like. Which is fine by me though

@thaliarchus So you can't broadly categorize anime based on the time period it was produced? Who knew? :)

This is basically a zombie account at this point, but I'm posting jokes pretty compulsively elsewhere. New plan - from now on I'll just tweet this exact tweet sometimes. If you're a fan I'd appreciate an RT! Just once, don't spam people they hate that. iteration 3/100
