@lisettethebest @tomaxwell The trouble is that the people who probably need to see that tweet or msg are probably not following you / looking for media preferences / or care about careful targeting in any case

@tomaxwell I tweet about it hoping that PR folks will see it and maybe stop and think. Too many take the "spray and pray" approach where pitches are sent to journos who don't cover that beat. As a reporter, it results in my inbox getting flooded and makes the work I do harder.

Nothing annoys me more than when other journalists tweet just to complain about the flood of PR emails in their inbox. We get it, you’re so important. Just delete them and move on, sheesh

One incumbent agency handling US PR bad-mouthed me to a potential client for UK PR when I'd never worked with them before and they knew nothing of my past work
