If you fly on west jet that’s on USA made planes Boeing 737 series and Boeing 787. And a few months ago they pit in another order for Boeing if your on air Canada then they have Boeing 777 and 787. You could ask for air bus 220 320 and 330 series but some of them are made in Alabama in USA. So how are you hurting America there. If you boycott both airlines your putting Canadian citizens job at risk. If you fly another airline chances most of there jets are made in USA. 3 the USA trade to Canada is big most products there have something in it from USA. We could not do that in the USA, being in the emergency room three days and only $800. In Alberta we just get billed for the private room and then we claim in through our work health insurance.

I have to comment again to all the Canadians commenting saying "I had a child and didn't pay a cent"...duh! I didn't pay out of pocket either however I saw what was charged to my insurance company to upgrade by the hospital and it was over $800 a night for private room. With that said you don't get free insurance in Canada as it is why we have super high taxes. We are one of the highest taxed countries in the world where our combined taxes are at about 50% of our income so stop patting yourselves on your back because the next time you are terminally ill or a burden they will offed you MAID because its a cheaper solution. With that said, be real. No way anybody staying in a Canadian hospital in a room with treatment for 3 days for $800.

@sarobertson_ No way $800 for 3 days. As a Canadian my room per day was more than that 20 years ago when I had my son. I call BS on this. I saw the bill being charged to OHIP. Me having a baby was a few thousand dollars on top of what the hospital charged for the room.

Again please keep in mind our 50% taxes pay for it so yes you do pay and you pay alot as a Canadian tax payer. Nothing is free in Canada with the amount of taxes we pay.

No its not. Its a ward of 4 people unless you can upgrade to semi private or private. I had semi private but upgraded to private. I saw what the hospital billed the insurance company and it was over $ 800 per day for private. No way anybody going to be in a Canadian hospital for 3 days getting treatment and a room for $800 all in. Come on get real. You really believe that?

Didn't say I paid. Said I saw what the hospital was billing OHIP per day and it was over $800 per day. I got to see it cause some of it was billed to my insurance company for an upgrade. No charge for Canadians? We pay for it in our super high taxes. Wake up. Nothing is free. We are are taxed to death unless you are are a welfare case which if you really think its free then you must be.

@corellian32 @Canada4Truth @sarobertson_ He is full of shit. A ward room (4 beds/room) is no charge for Canadians. And when having a baby, the room that you are in for labor and delivery is private and free of charge. You get charged if you want a semi-private or private room for your post recovery.
