The "winter of discontent" jibe seems to have slipped off the list of Tory go to criticisms of Labour. Can't think why.

@StephenCox15 Every parent during Covid rapidly concluded that teaching was not ‘easy to do’ and no teacher finishes work at 3.30pm. Many continue to work marking and preparing lessons well into the night.

If a job was well paid, easy to do, had lots of holidays and meant you could finish work each day at 3.30pm, wouldn't it be oversubscribed? 🤔

@LBC @RachelSJohnson They already do. Prescriptions aren’t free to most people and my dentist is private a) because I can’t get another and b) there are too few NHS dentists to serve the public.

Keir Starmer spent a couple of years telling people he was honest and would always tell the electorate the truth, while refusing to be drawn on Brexit. Recently he's engaged in a rampage of ruling things out (renegotiating Brexit, rejoining SM/CU, regaining FOM). Conclusion: ?

@danielmgmoylan Don’t know ask Margaret Thatcher or any Tory surviving from that period. If I recall rightly they destroyed the coal industry either because of the unions political power or because the coal was uneconomic to mine….possibly both.

We have 300 years of top-grade coal supply under our feet. Why are we importing it?

we've been eating carbs, fats, red meat and sugar for 100s - millions of years...but it's only in the last 50 years that chronic disease has skyrocketed from < 20% of people to over 60%. Something is poisoning us and it's not those things.
