This week I used my 2 favorite #emc2learning resources. Coin crasher for getting my Ss to do tons of math questions as they have fun with stocks. And my Ss always enjoy Sundown showdown. It’s a great week long activity to do after reading a novel.

This is the best investment I’ve ever made into my student’s learning. I use their activities daily and it’s well worth the price.

Best way to keep my Ss engaged on a Friday is have one of them be kidnapped by pirates & have them complete a #emc2learning #qrbreakin to save him. As a class they had to complete 24 activities in 1 hr to save him. They did it & were very excited!

My grade 8 Ss cheered when I told them they were doing the #eduprotocols Worst Preso Ever assignment. Every year the Ss have fun doing this and it’s a great way to teach them how to do a proper presentation.

A fun @gimkit I like to do with my Ss is 3 truths and 1 lie. We use kit collab to have each student submit a question about themselves to make the kit. Then we play the kit and Ss learn lots about their classmates😊

Our first week of school ended with some axe throwing to decide which squad gets to sit on the couches next week😊 #gamemyclass

I completed the skill builder course on group work from #emc2learning I love the power of working in groups in my year long gamified class, but now I’m thinking about how to use long term groups in my class that isn’t gamified.

I completed a #emc2learning skill builder course about Chat GPT today. I especially enjoyed the bells and whistles lesson, great ideas in there! I look forward to using these ideas in my classroom and doing the other Chat GPT courses.

@rebelteacherpod @HofmannEDU you’re right that I do teach the same students for 2 years. With my grade 8s though I just do little g with them and gamify a few units. Then with my grade 9s I do big g and gamify the whole year. Two big games would be a lot for me to keep up with!
