@Nadia_Hdz_MD In the US patients need sedation just thinking about getting a block/having surgery 🤦🏾‍♀️

Very interesting panel. For elbow/forearm/hand/wrist sx, in the UK they have centers where there is no pre-procedural fasting, pts get a surgical block with no sedation. The anesthesiologist performs the block, then monitors for 30 min and releases the patient to the surgeon. 😱

I heard ppl are confused. It's like this: Pfizer's COVID vaccine is 💉 fully FDA approved for 16y + 💉 EUA for 12-15y 💉 EUA for "booster" third shots for immune compromised patients 💉 still being studied in <12y but *could* be prescribed off-label (tho not recommended)
