It sets up the New Covenant, and Old Testament prophecies line up 100% with the New Testament. I mean, are Jews all bad? No one can make a sweeping statement like that. But are they Christian? No. If they do not accept Jesus as Messiah and the New Covenant, then they cannot derive moral authority from the Bible. God gave Jesus (God in flesh) the final judgement - only He has moral authority, biblically speaking. And since we are all sinners, we need to be saved by Jesus, by accepting Him and His sacrifice, to have eternal life.
