As we commemorate National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we’re encouraged to come together to support healing and to find ways to move forward on past difficulties. The truth is about taking the time to understand past and present Indigenous Peoples’ experiences and the intergenerational impact of residential schools. It is also about supporting action and reconciliation as we chart a strong path forward. We respectfully acknowledge our Indigenous partners, employees, and families whose lives have been impacted through the direct or shared experiences of the devastating separation from their families, cultures and identities. On #OrangeShirtDay in Canada our employees are showing their support that #EveryChildMatters. #NDTR #TruthAndReconciliation

Today is National Indigenous People’s Day and we join Canadians from coast to coast in honouring Indigenous Peoples’ heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements. Today is a celebratory day. Indigenous People play an extremely important role in our business, now more than ever. Canfor honours the authentic history of North America and its original people. We acknowledge all Nations who live, work and play, and who help us steward the land on which we do business. Let’s all continue our journey to understand Indigenous cultures, communities, histories and customs, and the deep traditional knowledge that they hold. This understanding is foundational to understanding each other as individuals, as well as being responsible and respectful in our relationships. #NIHM2024 #NIPD2024 #IndigenousPeoplesDay
