⚠️FIRE BAN IN EFFECT⚠️ All fires, whether is a residential area or campground, are banned until further notice. What is allowed: . Portable propane fire pits
· Gas/propane stoves & barbecues that are CSA/UL approved
· Catalytic or infrared-style heaters.

⚠️HEAT WARNING⚠️ Daytime high temperatures ranging from near 29 degrees Celsius to the mid 30s combined with overnight lows ranging from near 14 degrees Celsius to the high teens are expected into early next week.

⚠️FIRE ADVISORY⚠️ A Fire Advisory is in place for the Town of Canmore. This matches a move by the Calgary Forest Area earlier today. Forecast conditions are expected to continue to be hot and dry.

WILDLIFE ON THE HIGHWAY Elk on the highway between Deadman’s Flats and Canmore. ENGINE-1 has responded to a vehicle vs. elk near Three Sister’s overpass. Please drive carefully and be aware.

⚠️SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH⚠️ Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.

⚠️RAINFALL WARNING ⚠️ Rainfall event will bring 75 to 125 mm of rain by Wednesday morning. Rain will persist over the area until Wednesday. Locally higher rainfall totals of 150 mm or more are possible.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
