Emmanuel Onuh was dismissed early in the 6th minute, leaving us down to 10 men for the remainder of the match. Basildon Town took advantage from the penalty spot in the 16th minute to make it 1–0, but the boys responded brilliantly. Late in the half, Daniel Carr produced a stunning solo run from his own half, beating four players before calmly slotting home to level the game at 1–1.
