Last night in a lovely restaurant in @VilleStRaphael called #leBishop this charming #Chihuahua (name of Penelope, likes carrots) came to sit beside me, unprompted, for over an hour. Non mais. Have they ALL read #NiceDog? #BBCNSSA @ed_pr @BBCFrontRow @BBCRadio4 @commapress 🤣 🇲🇫

@ljlittleson @fairytaledegree It's not the writing of the book. It's the effortless marketing and the agents scurrying to represent them. If all celebrities wrote under a pseudonym, would these books still be picked up?

@fairytaledegree You’re right. It was funny. But like the best comedy it held a grain of truth, about how some celebrities perceive writing for children. And again, this is not a criticism of Rosie or her books.

@ArdenElizaJones Have always loved that metre - like #Tennyson! 'The Assyrian came down like a wolf on the fold/and his cohorts shone brightly with purple and gold/And the sheen on his spears was like stars on the sea/as the blue wave rolls nightly on deep Galilee.' Bit less violent though 😊
