@lukatofocus @elgermerlo Yes! Their is a paid consumer mode for added functionality (more plants, Direct Coaching etc). The app takes its suggestions and ties them around actual products and stores, so it gets paid via Affiliates as well.

@CanopIQ @elgermerlo free is smart for growing the user base but the real question is when does it become paid. are you going soil growers free and CEA teams paid or is there a consumer premium tier

Pesticides are causing issues not just for those who eat it, but for people who even just live by the farms. Whoever replaces this process with a better one will make so much money.

@anupamrjp write web apps and then wrap them for IOS or Android (those app marketplaces eat too much of startup profits)

@larsbuilds so my "white whale" is the regulated for profit cannabis industry and that commercial product is paid (but it handles all their compliance, so its a trade off). There are some ad spaces in the app that released today and some ways of paying for itself, but this shows it off.

@noshdotcom still-consulting.com I created Still Consulting which is attacking similar information on the alcohol / liquour side, but I have a business squarely in cannabis (canopIQ.io) and I've been interested in connecting the two.

@boardyai Alignment and trust. You can't really pay for either, so I am looking for someone who can see the "vision" but someone I can trust to act and operate in the best interest of the company.

@DesignByMaeL so that is actually the wedge I'm trying to target with CannopIQ and the grower community. I'm trying to come in as a "solution" but then become the "dashboard of confidence" so they don't carry that responsibility physically.

yeah that actually confirms the strongest part may not even be compliance itself but reducing how much operational tracking people mentally carry all day. when software becomes continuity memory instead of another dashboard retention usually changes a lot. whether users describe relief or control more often after using it?

@DesignByMaeL I originally built in for someone who is utilizing it to keep track of barrel stock (blender) but it hold all the data needed so compliance is second nature. My current customer doesn't have their DSP license granted so they aren't using the compliance piece as much yet.

So operators in heavily operational industries usually subconsciously evaluate software through vigilance reduction. whether it lowers the amount of mental tracking they have to carry all day. compliance visibility + barrel ops + notes sounds more like continuity preservation underneath. especially in industries where so much knowledge still lives in fragmented human memory. whether customers respond more strongly to the operational control side or the emotional relief side once they start using it?
