Below we have provided resolutions from the National Indian Education Association, Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, the National Congress of American Indians, and the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. All resolutions condemn the use of Native American imagery.

@janelle_108 The title “Chief” holds great value in the Native American community. Michigan tribes openly condemn the use of “Chief” as a mascot. This initiative hopes to create a more inclusive environment, so that minority groups have the opportunity to portray/represent their own cultures.
