February 4, 2026, will be an early dismissal day for students, allowing for a professional development day for teachers. Please make any necessary arrangements. The dismissal times for the 80% days are as follows: 1:15-Elementary Schools 1:45-Middle Schools 2:30-Canton High

Canton Public Schools and offices will resume their normal operating schedule on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. We’re excited to continue our journey of teaching and learning together.

The Canton Public School District will reopen on a slightly delayed schedule on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. All school and central office personnel should report at their regular times. Buses will begin running slightly later, starting at 7:00 a.m. Classes will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Due to the threat of inclement weather and freezing conditions, the Canton Public School District will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. Teachers will post extra credit practice assignments in Google Classroom or Canvas (CHS).Stay Safe!

The Canton Public School District continues to closely monitor local weather and the potential for hazardous winter conditions over the next few days. Currently, CPSD will hold a regular school schedule on Friday, January 23.

📣 Pre-Kindergarten Registration! 🎒✨ Pre-K Registration will be held Tuesday–Friday, January 20–23, at Nichols Middle School from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Feel free to share and help us spread the word! 💛📚

Canton Public Schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, January 20.

In anticipation of the potential for severe weather conditions, CPSD will implement the following dismissal schedule on Friday, January 9, 2026: Elementary School 2:30 pm Middle School 3:00 pm High School 3:00 pm Please ensure students are picked up promptly & stay safe!

Currently, CPSD will have a delayed start to the school day. Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. Buses will begin picking up students at 8:15 a.m. In cases of worsening weather conditions, administrators will evaluate safety concerns and decide whether to release students early,

As we closely monitor the predicted storm's changing severity and projected path, the Canton Public School District will decide whether to make any schedule changes by 5:00 a.m. on Friday after receiving more accurate and updated weather information from local authorities.
