Heavy rain & wind is a challenge for tall straw crops, particularly if too much nutrients are available.
Marris Otter here has some damage, while some of the tall straw wheat also under pressure.

@MauriceDeasy @Canvasbeer Maurice if my memory is correct the Aran farmers were regularly buying in rye seed from McDonogh's in G back in the early 90s. I did some research out there '90-93 ish. I know they were threshing & resowing the crops cos we studied the weed assemblages but also supplementing.

Took a moment to watch a blackbird eating an apple from the tree. The Camera doesn't capture what the eye sees but it does show the diversity of plants just outside the brewery door.
This is a farmhouse brewery after all
