To celebrate the birthday of William Shakespeare, I’m sharing a few lines from my most favorite sonnet, Sonnet 116. I’ve converted a few of my friends to its cause, and I’m hoping you’re next. Cheers!
You can hear the entire collection in “Patrick Stewart Performs the Complete Sonnets of William Shakespeare” available now: bit.ly/PatrickStewart…@SimonAudio#NationalShakespeareDay
@lady_valor_07 Well mainly to shoot in any scenario, without that kind of equipment you couldn't really accurately get the shot you're looking for, it's gotta be steady and it's gotta have the right sound...
@CapMikeSparrow@MonwabisiKete@cb_doge Grok won't lie but Elin wanted it to lie..but of you know anything about software updates you know that sometimes after a feature has been deployed (ie lies about south africa) there's bugs sometimes..so they fixed the bugs.
A lot of misinformation from legacy media about Starlink’s entry into South Africa. Here’s the truth 👇
• ❌ “Starlink wants to bypass B-BBEE”
✅ False — it supports transformation via EEIP, a legal framework already used by companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon Web Services.
• ❌ “Starlink is asking for special treatment”
✅ No — it’s asking for equal rules so ALL satellite operators can compete fairly.
• ❌ “EEIP is less beneficial than equity deals”
✅ Reality — Starlink’s plan would connect 5,000 rural schools with FREE high-speed internet, impacting millions of students every year.
• ❌ “It won’t create local impact”
✅ It will partner with local businesses, create jobs, and boost the economy (broadband growth = GDP growth).
• ❌ “It will become a monopoly”
✅ Impossible — Starlink operates globally in a competitive market across 150+ countries.
• ❌ “Security & privacy risks”
✅ It will fully comply with South African laws like every other country it operates in.
• ❌ “Starlink is already operating illegally”
✅ Wrong — it is NOT operating because it is still waiting for a license.
@CapMikeSparrow You’re conflating what you hope for though and what the game is actually like. That skews your feedback. The palatino set is actually quite easy to loot a full set of at distribution centers, it’s far less effort than the mining and crafting we do now.
I can see why some are turned off by Star Citizen crafted items. Crafting right now is a bit too time intensive if you want stats to be above +0. We had 43 people in a coordinated mining op going for 5 hours, of 215 combined hours, and only managed enough for 7 suits of armor with a minimum of 500 quality materials.
IMO they need to lower the quality minimum to start achieving higher than 0 stats, or increase the spawn rate of 500+ materials. How have your experiences been?
