The audience for the, "Global Surgery: moving beyond Physicians?" session drew on the expertise of Mr Sandhi Gangha, Dr Martilord Ifeanyichi, Dr Håkon Bolkan and our own Dr Kuba Gajewski. This breakout session discussed - The long-term success of a surgery depends on more than the surgeon. Nurses, Midwives, Physical therapists. Great news from the European Congress of Global Surgery in Essen. Sandi Gangha, one of our graduates, presented at the conference and won an award for his presentation. Earlier this month, Sandi was in Trondheim, showcasing his talent for laparoscopic skills.

@ArdGerrits @annehhoekman, back from living in the USA & Ghana, will run her first half marathon! Will she be prepared for the windy and rainy weather in the Netherlands? With only experience in short distances, her time will be a surprise, but our cheers will fuel her every step of the way!

@ArdGerrits , currently working in Sierra Leone, has tackled the distance before. In January, he completed a 47 km run in Sierra Leone to support Lion Heart. Despite a night flight from Sierra Leone right before the Amstelveen marathon, we believe Ard will show his resilience!
