If someone only talked with you about/because a specific series/topic and then stopped communication after you showed interest in something else or were not as much into it. That person wasnt interested in being your friend, just wanted you to talk about it. Thats the harsh truth

Follow up for this: People who are genuinely interested in being friends and knowing each other better will keep communicatiom regardless and will talk some other common interest, or share the different interest they may have in other topics/stuff Or show interest in them
