Who cares about mgmt team quality, product innovation, etc if it's macro dynamics like tariffs, the Fed or oil driving real moves.

GOLD MINERS Reality is we've been lucky riding the wave, partly fuelled by Chinese ultra-speculative money 6x - 9x CF at $5k/oz is not cheap... I'd perhaps pay this on 3.5k. I am out of the producing miner space and give thanks. Massive wealth generator over past 18 months. 😎

As we were preparing to publish, they posted a picture of an airplane with the caption: "Visiting Apple Park this week for technical discussions and collaboration." We geolocated the image and tracked the aircraft — EVA Air's B-16716, Taipei to San Francisco. The next day: "Day 1 at Apple Park — a full day of technical discussions and collaboration, from 11am to 9pm." Attached: a selfie inside the secure perimeter. "I'm amazed that somebody would post something like that," said Guttag.
