I think the reboot culture in Hollywood, and probably also the gaming industry, has conditioned a lot of people to think their favorite IPs need to always have something in production or else they're just dead and irrelevant. I don't think that's a healthy way to view art.

LT has had popular spinoff projects like Space Jam and the 2011 series, sure. But take a look at Tom and Jerry: I dont think a single spin off or film has done it any favors. I believe its perpetual relevancy has survived entirely off of the timelessness of the original shorts.

There's nothing wrong with this take. As much as I do love a handful of later Looney Tunes projects, no franchise really NEEDS to last forever, regardless of how much of a cultural staple it becomes. It can be just passed down via reruns and maintain relevancy that way.

Ne er been a big fan of kickstarters for indie 'pilots'. Feel like its better to just show off what you can make on your own before asking for funding, especially if you havent gained much following yet. If Seth MacFarlane can make the Family Guy pilot in his kitchen, so can you.

@zodiac6995 I agree entirely. Mewtwo makes for a much more interesting villain overall. Though I feel like the first movie kinda drags on a bit and takes itself a bit too seriously. 2000 is just a more fun watch overall, despite its glaring flaws. Neither movies hold a candle to 3, though.

@CapnCinnamon Eh, I think the collector as the villain is really weak, and does really nothing besides putting the birds together to fight. All because he got a new card. Talking Slowking to talk about the prophecy I don’t think adds anything either

@zodiac6995 I thought the same until recently rewatching. I think the second one has more entertaining action sequences. The dub also butchered both movies' stories, but at least 2000 is funnier.

A new opening sequence for a potential ‘Duckman’ revival has been revealed. Klasky Csupo co-founder Gábor Csupó says the team hopes CBS picks up new episodes, but is also open to bringing the series to a major streaming platform if the network passes.

Wanted to thank everyone who watched Newt and those who defended it when it caught heat for doing litterally nothing. I wish more animation could get attention through more positive and uplifting posts on this site instead of from an onslaught of negative and ironic posts.
