FIRST ON FOX: The Treasury Department subpoenas Marxist streamer Hasan Piker and CodePink cofounder Medea Benjamin over their March trips to Cuba, launching a federal probe into whether U.S. activists violated sanctions by financing, coordinating or delivering goods to the communist regime. The investigation targets as many as 40 American citizens who joined a convoy of 650 delegates from 33 countries — and additional subpoenas remain expected.
NEW: Federal officials have subpoenaed Hasan Piker and CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin over an aid mission to Cuba involving medicine and medical equipment. According to reports, the Treasury Department is investigating whether the activists violated U.S. sanctions during the trip.
