@Joseph1112082 Thinking Wide. Form factor just feels so right (yes, even after my time on Oppo and PFold and Surface Duo - this hits different) Still very early tho, and lack of telephoto could be a killer for me. Want to dual wield with my Razr Ultra, so that's a complication.

@Captain2Phones Before spending review time with phones, which one do you think you will stick with for long term, short stubby one or tall one? Any predictions?

With the Galaxy Fold8, Samsung has officially "gone wide." This new foldable adopts a squatter aspect ratio reminiscent of the Oppo Find N and first-generation Pixel Fold, but it's much thinner and lighter than either of those. Prices, though, have only gone up - and with Apple's first folding iPhone rumored for the fall, Samsung is likely to face some stiff competition for the title of best foldable in the US. So, fun fact: Like a total moron, I left my MacBook on the plane when I landed in London and I haven't retrieved it yet. So I've had to cover Samsung Unpacked entirely from my Galaxy Fold7 review sample. Has it been as good as a laptop? No, not even close 😄 (and my hands-on video was edited off-site). But using it for the scripting and social side of my job for 2 days has reinforced how much I value these little pocket tablets. I'd hate to be sweating through this stuff on a slab.

@Captain2Phones The one thing I can't agree with is this narrative that Apple barely catching up to eight years of everyone else making and perfecting Foldables will bring the "biggest surge in foldable interest". The interest has been here for eight years already 😭

Samsung flew a bunch of media to London (myself included) to get a first look at the new foldables -- but even more important was the opportunity to ask designers and engineers all the questions I've harbored for years. Some of those insights made it to my hands-on video, but most will inform my full reviews later on. We've definitely missed some targets, I'll give you that. Building stuff is hard; small batch hardware is harder. But product is shipping. As for mentions in videos, Clicks makes as many cameos as ever. If you're out of patience, fair enough - happy to refund if we can't make it right!

Yeah, the last update was July 8, two months after the originally promised ship date and just says 30% of batch 1 has been shipped. That doesn't do anything to tell people when they are going to receive their product, which they paid for 7 months ago. Noticed you stopped talking about the product on your videos too, basically like you think if you don't talk about it, people will forget about it. Lol. Weak
