Candace Owens is a master of setting fires and complaining about the heat. “I’m finally free”? She could have quit any time. Bashing your employers while still cashing a paycheck is the lowest of the low. Especially for the most vapid “thought leader” in our movement.

People claim that Candace Owens is only suffering the consequences of "opposing Israel" and similar nonsense. What really happened is that she liked and endorsed Neo-Nazi comments like these, which make insane, medieval blood libel accusations against Jews.

Candace Owens has been on a collision course with The Daily Wire for a very long time. She was cynical hire, in many ways--got the job for her opposition to BLM, which imploded far more quickly than anyone thought possible. Then her belligerent ignorance on most subjects became very clear. She's utterly confident, totally contrarian, and prone to conspiracy (she stated, among other things, that the moon landing was likely faked and that Jerusalem's "Muslim Quarter" was segregation--you can't make this stuff up). But it is convenient for her, and many others, to pretend that this professional parting of ways is merely a result of her opposition to U.S. funding for Israel and that she has been targeted and "taken out" by "certain groups" as a result. She's certainly accrued a specific sort of audience by making this claim, and it's a much better narrative for her than "I made mistakes all the time and aggressively burned bridges and didn't fit with The Daily Wire." She isn't a free speech martyr, but that's going to be the claim.
