Our heartfelt congratulations to @CARA1933 Syria Prog. Fellow Dr @huseyin_esved on his recent promotion to Associate Professor of Arabic Language and Rhetoric, following a decision by the Turkish Higher Education Council.

We are delighted to announce that Dr Rashwani will be presenting on his @CARA1933 Syria Prog. supported study ‘Sustainable Reconstruction in Syria: Utilizing Recycled Concrete Aggregate from War-Damaged Buildings’ at the 5th International Conference on Recycling and Reuse 2024.

Delighted to have @uniofleicester join the existing UK unis – Kent, Surrey and USW – in supporting Cara SP Fellows to apply for Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Our thanks to @AdvanceHE for its continued support and fee waivers for SP Fellows’ FHEA applications.

Another successful Cara SP workshop held in Gaziantep (12-14 May), part of the collaborative developmental action-research series run with @Sham_University colleagues ‘HE Quality Enhancement: An Action-Research Approach to the Arts, Humanities and Humanistic Social Sciences’.

Another @CARA1933 Syria Prog research incubation visit underway, hosted by the @EdinburghUni! SP Fellow, Dr Suhaib Ajam, will use this opportunity to develop his research ‘Fostering Cross-Faculty English Language Development’. Our thanks to Dr Amelia Harker and @EdinburghUni.

Looking forward to the @BritishAcademy_ Academic Writing workshop this week (26-28 April)! Mentors and Syria Programme Participants will be brought together to work on writing up their research findings. A big thank you to the mentors supporting our academics!
