Cardiff Morris

It's hard to say what the highlights of the day were - we had great fun and danced a huge number of dances from across our repertoire. We also saw some weather extremes including tropical sun and huge hail stones!

A few photos from our performances at Tredegar House Folk Festival on Sunday. We had a great day, starting with the procession in the morning, followed by some busking around the site and our marquee spots in the afternoon.

Our third Tuesday tour will take us to Canton. Come and find us!

On May morning, members of Cardiff dispersed across South Wales, some to the Gower to join Sweyn’s Ey Morris and some to Abergavenny to meet Isca Morris. One of us even joined Bristol Morris! Happy May Day everyone - it's the start of the summer (not that the weather agrees!)

On Tuesday, we had a rather damp tour in Thornhill but we still managed to do three dances in the foyer or The Ffynnon Wen. Congratulations to our newest member, Amanda, who danced out for the first time, earning her bells. She is now a fully fledged Cardiff member!

We start our weekly Tuesday evening tours this coming Tuesday in Thornhill and Llanishen. Come and see us at The Ffynnon Wen at 7.30pm and The Church Inn at 8.30pm.

An Excellent dance out at the Clytha Arms on Boxing Day. A mercifully dry day. We were delighted to welcome friends from @CardiffMorris. Great atmosphere and very enjoyable.

Yesterday, a few of us met up with Isca Morris for the traditional Boxing Day dance out at The Clytha Arms in Abergavenny. Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and wishing you a very happy New Year! Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!

Congratulations to Ayesha, our newest member, who danced brilliantly on her first ever dance out, earning her Cardiff bells and becoming a fully-fledged member of Cardiff Morris! Llongyfarchiadau Ayesha!

We had a great Christmas dance out in Cardiff City Centre yesterday, raising money for The British Heart Foundation. Well done and a huge thank you to everyone who braved the rain and came out with us. We raised a huge £189.90! Nadolig Llawen iawn i bawb!

Today we’re dancing out around Cardiff City Centre from 11am. Come and find us near the Christmas Market - just follow the sound of bells until you find us! We will be collecting for British Heart Foundation.

Our summer evening tours are nearly at an end. We've had an absolutely brilliant summer season this year with no cancelled tours due to bad weather or lack of numbers. Our final weekly dance out will be this evening at Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay. Come and find us!

In our attempt to get @reallynnbowles to learn something new, we got in touch in @CardiffMorris and they bravely took on the challenge to teach her the ancient art of Morris Dancing This afternoon from 3pm on @bbcradiowales and @bbcsounds

A lovely evening dancing out in Llanishen on Tuesday, starting at The Three Arches before moving on to The Church Inn. We were few in number, but still put on a great show. Our bounciest member and bagman, Ben, also performed a brilliant jig at the second pub.
