@ElijahSchacher honestly i was too invested in re:zero to hate on episode 13. i was more surprised on how much Subaru was willing to go to maintain that saviour complex of his

@UshiromiyaMemo What makes this scene even hit more is the fact that subaru is an atheist. But his desperation has gotten to a point where he calls out to gods for help

#Arc6 #MemoRZ
These two passages are just too painful to read.
The first part with “Who would like to become ‘Natsuki Subaru,’ by their own choice?” means that Subaru now sees “Natsuki Subaru” as a burdensome identity that no one would willingly choose. For him, it is an identity that is far too big for him to handle, and he feels he will never be able to live up to it because it comes with expectations, obligations, and the need for strength.
That is why he actively rejects this role, to the point where it turns into self-contempt. In short... a part of him is screaming: “This isn’t me! I never wanted this! Why are you forcing me into this role?”
The second passage, with “Please forgive me… send me back home… It was my fault,” then shows where this line of thought leads. Subaru interprets all his current suffering as punishment. And not primarily for the specific murder or a single mistake in the Tower, but for his old, slothful, failed self. He asks for forgiveness for the “punishment given to him, to his slothful self.” He interprets his current hell as belated retribution for the boy who was lazy, isolated, and guilty back home.

@rezero_ice Will they adapt any of the other witches stories or nah?
English

@animeposts Its insane how this re:zero episode doesn't even reach the top 10 scenes in this arc and it already has 9.8. We might get a 10/10 once Subaru's named chapter gets animated
English

@lujazbik The true Best girl of re:zero, And it really shows in season 4 mainly when Subaru and her Heads off somewhere
