"Mr. Jones" is autobiographical. Adam Duritz wrote the song in 1992 inspired by a real night when he and his friend David Jones (a bass player) were drinking, playing the guitar and fantasizing about becoming famous. Adam sang "I wanna be Bob Dylan" and the two imagined what life would be like as rock stars. The track was released as the lead single from their debut album August and Everything After (1993) and placed Counting Crows in the mainstream worldwide almost overnight. Adam even said that the lyrics became a giant irony: he sang about wanting fame before he had it, and suddenly he was living exactly what he dreamed of.

There were a lot more 1 PM starts across baseball when we were growing up because networks like FOX and before that NBC had the Saturday Game of the Week and scheduled marquee matchups in that slot. The Saturday afternoon Game of Week was a baseball institution of a bygone era.

One of the reasons the elites ignore the Muslim grooming gangs is they simply can’t handle the levels of horror these attacks reach. Such as… -nailing a girl’s tongue to a block of wood while she’s raped. -having them dig their own graves. -drenching them in gasoline. -branding girl’s asses with an M for Mohammad. -raping girls under the Pakistani flag. The list goes on. It’s much easier just to assume we’re lying and the problem isn’t real.

This is INSANE Henry Nowak, a university student in the UK, was allegedly fatally stabbed by Vikrum Digwa, a Sikh man carrying an 8-inch ceremonial knife. When police arrived, Digwa reportedly accused Henry of "racial abuse," leading police to handcuff HENRY while he was bleeding out. Henry then succumbed to his wounds and died. WTF is going on in the UK???

.@ZohranKMamdani didn’t “uncover” a $12 billion deficit. His socialist agenda helped create it. And he didn’t “eliminate” it either. He covered it up with accounting gimmicks, rosy projections, a delayed $2.3 BILLION pension payment, and now a $4 BILLION bailout from @KathyHochul that forces taxpayers across all of New York to subsidize his spending spree. NYC now has the largest budget in city history at nearly $125 BILLION, while future deficits still loom in the billions. New Yorkers are being taxed out of their homes while Albany Democrats pretend endless spending has no consequences. As Comptroller, I will audit every state dollar sent to New York City and hold Zohran Mamdani accountable.
