Penultimate day at work done before I go off on maternity leave at 5pm tomorrow. As someone who genuinely loves the work I do, and whose career shapes a lot of my identity, I am feeling all the emotions - excited, exhausted, anxious, even a little bit sad. #mySLTday

My last service meeting for the foreseeable (I'm the pregnant lady at the front!) Lucky to work with such a wonderful and inspiring team. See you on the other side!

Just had an appointment with a chap who told me that his sister (a practicing AHP) had told him that "high-functioning people can't have autism". So much wrong with this statement on so many levels. #mySLTday

Finishing my report for a 17 yr old male with ADHD - referred to me with ongoing concerns re: communication. Some colleagues cynical about whether he would engage and whether SLT was really needed. Turns out he meets the criteria for Developmental Language Disorder. #mySLTday
