Working in the Probation Service, you'll analyse complex situations and make tough decisions, while being ready to listen and notice things about people that others wouldn't. We're hiring Probation Service Officers across the North West, take a look ⬇️ justicejobs.tal.net/vx/lang-en-GB/…

Non fatal strangulation timeline: 6.8 seconds loss of consciousness 14 seconds an anoxic seizure 15 seconds bladder incontinence 30 seconds bowel incontinence All deaths between 62-152 seconds You only need the pressure of a handshake to kill someone. It’s the second cause of homicide in females after stabbing. Link to my interview with Central Club Podcast is on my previous post in the comments. @thecentralclub_

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay2023 & #WorldHomelessDay2023 They are intrinsically linked - both cause & consequence. Poor mental health makes it difficult to deal with housing problems. Housing problems can lead to worsening MH. We work with MH services to address both issues.

Thought provoking #PrisonsWeek lecture by @ShonaMinson highlighting the challenges faced by women in the CJS. Looking toward to welcoming magistrates to showcase how we are working with women in Merseyside & the benefits of robust community sentences as an alternative to custody
