One of my favorite things to do with students who engage in negative self talk is have them write down the negative things they say to themselves. I then ask them to read the statements out loud as if they were saying them to me. They have difficulty repeating the unkind things

amazing seeing how just this activity starts to shift their attitude and demeanor. And is a good lesson for everyone in the importance of being kind to your mind. Because you’re your first friend, and we are ALL worthy of the kindness we give others. 🤍
