Interesting Wade Boggs story is that the Rays offered to pay him to wear a Rays hat on his hall of fame plaque, so the HOF revoked inducted players’ right to pick their cap. And because of this, Andre Dawson has been in a feud with the HOF because they won’t let him wear a Cubs hat.
