Down, but not out. I've dusted down the URL I wasn't planning to use yet and created a holding site and email capture box for the book's crowdfunding campaign, which likely won't be on Kickstarter. historyofbritainin100cyclerides.com

After less than 24 hours I have suspended the campaign. Kickstarter's website didn't take print book orders, but Kickstarter's app did. Best to cancel and start again next year. Annoying, though. Thanks to those who pledged even though they had to jump through hoops.

We left a bike with GPS trackers somewhere we assumed it would be safe...
Right outside Scotland Yard.
It was quickly stolen.
Police didn't check CCTV, couldn't go to a "moving" GPS signal or one at an address
Government has given up and police can't focus on rampant theft.

You might have seen the other day I've become the custodian of a box not publicly seen since the 1930s. It features objects and documents from mainly Bedlington Iron Works, but also Bedlington & Blyth through the 19th c.
I'm going to spend this weekend showing you all it.
