Here's what Republican Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger-appointed by President Nixon-had to say about the NRA: "The Gun Lobby’s interpretation of the Second Amendment is one of the greatest pieces of fraud, I repeat the word fraud, on the American People by special interest groups that I have ever seen in my lifetime. The real purpose of the Second Amendment was to ensure that state armies – the militia – would be maintained for the defense of the state. The very language of the Second Amendment refutes any argument that it was intended to guarantee every citizen an unfettered right to any kind of weapon he or she desires." Make sure everyone sees this.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I don’t care if an indictment whips the base into a frenzy. I don’t care if Ma & Pa Qrackhead send him every last dime they have. I don’t care if it makes him more popular than Jesus Christ, cookie dough ice cream and Sally Field combined. He could kick a puppy on pay-per-view and raise a million dollars doing it. Either we are a nation of laws or we are not. And not charging him will do far more damage to this country than indicting him ever could.

I actually teared up watching this. How can people be so purposefully cruel?

To everyone who told me to “calm down” in 2016 and that I should “stop being so dramatic”… The guy I was freaking out about went on to stack SCOTUS with Christofascists, extorted a country, plotted a coup, incited an insurrection & stole actual f’ng nuclear secrets, so f*ck you.
