Yes, Texas is the REAL South they have their own identity, Carolinas no. The Carolinas are closer to the East because they were colonized by NYers in the 80s-90s via the Crack era..

Most of the FBAs in NYC have ancestors from Carolina. But we country in SC. I can see a ATL influence maybe a little Florida too

Sumpter, Aiken every place and I'm aware that SC is very prideful but culturally y'all follow either NY or ATL just like NC & Virginia!
