@Mary_Tom11 MH practitioner can be a nurse, occupational therapist or social worker. You have to have a professional qualification but are not employed in a specific professional role e.g as a nurse

I have a MSc and co authored 2 books but am referred to as a mental health practitioner on band 6.
Another colleague has a basic degree and no publications but is referred to as an advanced practitioner on band 7.Not sure what makes my colleague advanced

Success is losing the word ‘nurse’ from your job title and replacing it with ‘practitioner’. You’ve really made it if your name badge includes the word, ‘advanced’.

It’s the last #BPDChat tonight so I’ll be on here for a bit 9pm For me it had its place as someone newly diagnosed many years ago when I started it with Hannah #RIP but now for me the label is defunct and I don’t identify with it anymore. It would be good to hear other opinions
